Our hearts are broken with the loss our beloved husband, father and grandfather, Harold Bernard (Bernie) Keefe (72). Born June 5, 1952, in Halifax, to Oscar and Phoebe Keefe (Dodge), Bernie was a gifted musician, quick with humour and the life of any party. Bernie‘s love of music was known up and down the eastern shore as he played for decades as lead singer of the Triple B Band. They played countless dances, weddings, and community events in various venues and towns. Bernie was known to be of help to anyone who needed it and would often pretend to be exasperated at how busy he was. In truth, he loved to be go, go, go all the while happily singing random song lyrics. Bernie was an avid fisherman and some of his happiest moments were on the shore with his fishing pole or out to sea. Survived by his adoring wife Sally (Selena Pye) and his two children Erin and Shannon, his brother Barry and his sister Phoebe (Duban). Bernie was a very proud and involved “grampy” to his two grandchildren Liam and Lydia and spent as much time with them as he could. Our loss is great, but we will remember Bernie always with warm memories. There will be a celebration of life at the Ecum Secum Fire Hall January 11 at 1pm to 3pm . Please join us to share any of your own warm memories and come sing/play a song for dad . The family wishes to thank the nurses at the Sheet Harbour Hospital and the many community members who came together in support of the family. Your contributions went over and above and will never be forgotten. The family also wish to thank the Town Council of Belleoram Newfoundland for their condolences.
