Gwendolyne Phyllis Calberry
It is with great sadness that the family of Gwen Calberry announces her passing on March 24, 2025 at Atikokan General Hospital. She was born on February 22, 1935 to Eric and Violet Trafford in Kingdom Mines, Ontario.
She and her husband Clayton were married on January 20, 1955, (70 years together). They had 2 children, a daughter Carrol (Rod) Whalley and son Kent (Liz) Calberry. She has 4 grandchildren; Darren, Brian (Aniela-Jane), Jennifer (Olan) and Scott (Stephanie), and great grandchildren; Brielle, Miriam, Kohl, Kiesa, Caryssa, Aliyah and Hudson and step great granddaughters Zayda and Skylar.
Gwen is survived by her husband Clayton, children Carrol and Kent; brother-in-law Stewart MacHardy and his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is predeceased by her parents Eric & Violet Trafford (Lamb) and sister Hellen MacHardy (Trafford)
Family was a very important part of her life and was very active in the Church of the Good Shepherd for many years.
Cremation has taken place.
