Obituary of Guido Dubini
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Guido Dubini, 85, of Windsor, Ontario, on August 8, 2025.
Born May 26, 1940 to Celeste Dubini and Ada Moretto in Legnano, Italy, Guido immigrated to Canada in 1965 as a young man. In Canada, he worked for IBM as an Customer Service Representative maintaining various computer infrastructures in Windsor and Es County. Post-retirement from IBM, Guido went on to become one of the first employees at Casino Windsor, and worked as a card dealer.
He is survived by his two children David (Rachael) and Lawrence Alexander (Lindsay). Beloved Nonno to Benjamin, Alice, Edwin, and Rhett. He is also survived by his close friends Joe and Lucy Giglio, who remained a constant source of friendship throughout Guido’s life.
Guido will be fondly remembered and held dear in the hearts of his family and many friends. A consummate gardener, Guido loved spending time tending to his various gardens and making the legendary sauce loved by his children and grandchildren. A fantastic home wine vintner, Guido was passionate about both winemaking and drinking wine. Guido also loved many classic movies and was an animated conversationalist and storyteller.
The Dubini Family would like to extend their sincerest thanks for the lifelong and continued friendship of the Giglio Family throughout both Guido’s and his family’s life. He cherished you all, as do we.
An open house celebrating Guido’s life will take place in the near future. Should you wish to attend, you may obtain further details at: rachael.dubini48@gmail.com.
