Greta was born in the Netherlands and immigrated to Canda in 1950 with her family, to Ilderton, Ontario. She found the love of her life Don Greidanus and they married on May 21, 1956. Don & Greta spent most of their life farming, near Londesboro, Ontario, where they raised their 10 children. They were members of the Blyth Christian Reformed Church. Greta was the loving mother and mother-in-law of Janet & John Adazzio of Palmerston, John & Debbie Greidanus of St. Thomas, Bert Greidanus & Nancy Bolender of Bayfield, Louis & Nancy Greidanus of Londesboro, Bill Greidanus of Goderich, Tracey & Jeff DeWeerd of Listowel, Janny & Richard Simmons of Palmerston, Betty Doig & Sean Crandall of Wingham, Terry & Kim Greidanus of Londesboro, and Grant & Jill Greidanus of Goderich. Also loving grandmother of Daniel, Jacqueline, Darren (Catrina) Alexandra (Cody), Samantha (Adam), Jarrett, Donny (Katrina), Katherine, Nicole (Dylan), Brad (Jess), Jeremy (Rachel), Paul (Juliana), Simon, Tyler, Candice (Colton), Daniel (Kristy), Damion, Shelby, Emma, Kara, Suzanne, Jayden and predeceased Suzanne, Benjamin. Great Grandma of Dayton, Gunnar, Rowan, Charlie, Evelyn, Spencer, Lydia, Lucas, Hailynn, Warren, Makenzie, Bailey, Owen, Parker, Blake, Bryn, Lottee, Sam, Gerrit, Jacob, Hendrik, Marcus, David, Luke, Ezra, Hudson, Hadley, Rowan, and Wyatt. She was the beloved sister of Teresa Roetcisoender, Betty & Clarence Baker, John & Kathleen Siertsema, Mieneka Siertsema, Doreen Siertsema, Annie Siertsema, Jack & Joanne Koetsier, and Eileen Greidanus. Friends will be received at the Blyth Christian Reformed Church 354 Queen Street, Blyth on Thursday April 10, 2025, from 6 – 9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Friday April 11, 2025, at 11 a.m. Interment Blyth Union Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations to the Huron Christian School, or the North Huron Community Foodshare would be appreciated.
