The death occurred peacefully at the Palliative Care Unit of
the Community Hospital, O’Leary, on Sunday, January 19, 2025, with his
loving family by his side, of Grant Lloyd Butler, of Montrose, aged 83
years. Predeceased by his wife, Ronnie Rose (McKinnon) Butler. He was
the son of the late William L. and Olive M. (Deagle)
Butler.
Beloved partner of Eileen Richard. A dear father to Isabel
(Rodney) Delaney, of Fortune Cove, Champion (Rachel) Butler, of
Bedeque, Melody (Douglas) Hurshman, of Rusagonis, NB, and Grant Jr.
(Maggie) Butler, of Bearspaw, AB. Cherished grandfather to Jericho,
Desiree, Kisha, Cherish, Autumn, Hillary, Jasmine, Felix, Brody, Luke,
Jordan, and Jesse. Great-grandfather to 17. Dear brother to Harvey
(Dorothy) Butler, Aldona (Johnny) Jones, Alberta (Jamie)
Ellsworth, and sister-in-law, Brenda Butler. Grant will be sadly
missed by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and
friends.
He was predeceased by siblings Freddy, Champion, Mansfield,
Terry, and baby, Isabel, nephew, Terry, sister-in-law, Patsy, and
grandsons, Brandon and Donny,
Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel. Visiting hours
Wednesday, January 22nd from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Funeral on Thursday, Janaury 23rd at Sacred Heart Parish, Alberton, at
10:00 a.m.
