DOUGLAS, Graham John –
It is with great sadness that the family of Graham J. Douglas announces his passing on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital with his family by his side at the age of 68.
Graham will be lovingly remembered by his wife Paula, of 30 years. Proud father of Alexander (Julia), Gavin, Marni (Mackenzie Roosboom), and Alyssa Kitchen (Mark). Special grandfather of Grace, Henry, Riley, and Landon.
Born in Toronto, Ontario, Graham was the first Canadian child of Alec Douglas of Glasgow, Scotland, and Pamela Joan Douglas (nee Robins) of Ilfracombe, England. He will be greatly missed by his siblings: Robin (Lynn) of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Scott (Maureen) of Cambridge, Ontario, Susan (George) of Fergus, Ontario, and Margaret (Phil) of Thunder Bay, Ontario. Loving son-in-law of William Place Sr.; brother-in-law of Bill Place and uncle of Kaylee Marie of Holland, New York, USA, as well as numerous other nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Graham will be missed dearly by his beloved 19-year-old dachshund, BINXS.
Graham was General Manager of Groupe Somavrac, handling chemical and bulk packaging. He was the past president of CASF and belonged to various organizations within the chemical industry.
His passion for golf, sailing, and football kept him active over the years, including being an active golf sponsor for the Help a Child Smile charity.
Graham’s quick wit, humour, dance moves, and passion for life itself along with his love for his family, friends, and colleagues will be missed by all who loved and enjoyed him.
At this time, cremation has taken place. Family, friends, and colleagues are invited to a memorial visitation at Corbett Funeral Home (95 Dundas St. N., Cambridge) on Saturday, March 1, 2025, from 1pm-6pm. Donations made in Graham’s memory to Help a Child Smile would be greatly appreciated by the family (payable by cheque or online using the link below).
