Garry Graham, beloved husband and father, passed away peacefully at the Meaford Hospital with his family by his side on Saturday, July 19, 2025 in his 87th year.
Born in Flesherton on February 11, 1939, Garry was a son of the late Victor and Mae (nee Lougheed) Graham.
Garry was the beloved husband of Patricia Graham (nee Myles) of Thornbury.
He was the dear father of Christopher Graham and Stefanie Graham, both of Barrie.
Garry was predeceased by his sister, June Tattersall of Langley, B.C. and his brother Bruce Graham of Calgary, AB.
Garry grew up on the family fruit farm on the Beaver River near Slabtown, where the family harvested apples and cherries. As a young man, Garry left the farm and pursued work out west. This began an eight-and-a-half-year journey of travel and work around the world which included stops in New Zealand, Australia, Africa, the Middle East and Europe. Upon returning home Garry acquired his machinist ticket and found work locally at Teledyne Mining products and eventually the Collingwood Shipyards. Later with the closing of the Shipyards, Garry took over his father’s metal supply and fabrication business, Thornbury Steel Fabricators, which he owned until his retirement. In retirement Garry returned to his love of travel as he and Patricia often wintered with their RV in Texas, Arizona and Mexico.
