Grace (Slowka) Trimble (Dmytryshyn) peacefully passed away at Belvedere Heights, Parry Sound, on December 30th, 2024, at 86 years old.
She was the beloved wife of Ross for 65 years, loving mother of Cynthia, Teresa (Peter) and David (Nanette) and cherished grandmother of Myranda, Hayden (Rylee), Velvet (Kevin), Marisha (Kyle), Brooke (Sedore), and Nathaniel. Grace was also a dear sister to Adam, Bill, Tom, Peter, Mary, Paul, and Matthew, and fondly remembered by many relatives and friends.
Born in 1938 in northern Saskatchewan, Grace moved with her family to southern Ontario at the age of four. She learned the importance of responsibility early in life, including caring for her baby brother while her mother was ill. She was baptized on January 11, 1953, and married Ross Trimble on June 6, 1959. Together they built a home and raised three children, creating a warm and loving environment, filled with gardens and homemade food.
After 20 years, Grace and Ross moved to a 100-acre farm where they raised animals, made their own food, and continued serving the congregation. Their home was always open to those in need, including temporarily housing families and offering support.
In 1999, they moved to Parry Sound, where they built a home by Maple Lake, continuing their love for gardening and enjoying time with their grandchildren. Grace was known for her hospitality, kindness, her poetic abilities, and unwavering faith. Even in her last days, she always found opportunities to talk about her God, Jehovah and His Kingdom to doctors, nurses and caregivers. She and Ross celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary in June 2024, surrounded by family and friends.
Grace’s life was marked by love, devotion to family, and a deep commitment to her faith. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
