The family is saddened to announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandma, and great -grandma, Grace Lintz, of Edmonton, on December 27, 2024.
Grace is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Ben, (the man of her life-her words); children, Greg (Moira), Brenda (Glen) Kautz, Joyce and Murray (Michele and her family); grandchildren, Daniel, Justin, John (Maddie) and Keira (Mike Edwards); and great-grandchildren, Maggie, Mackenzie, Marissa, Leo, and Max. Grace is further survived by her sister Irene (Henry) Sereda.
She was predeceased by her parents, Jack and Mary Kletchko and her sisters Evelyn (Carl) Hildebrand and Lorraine (Bill) Palister. Grace was born at Killaley Saskatchewan and lived in Regina and Estevan prior to moving to Edmonton in 1964. A fulltime mother, Grace also worked from home for various companies including the Dale Carnegie organization and then in real estate for13 years.
After Ben retired in 1992, Ben and Grace enjoyed extensive travel and spent 6 months of the year in Mesa with many friends and Irene and Henry Sereda. Grace loved music. She had her own dance band in Saskatchewan in the fifties; she started her children playing; she played many parties and dances in Mesa and Edmonton, often accompanied by Justin and Brenda. She played her last “gig” at the age of 90. She was very involved in competitive curling and, after retirement, shuffleboard.
She made family her priority. Every birthday, anniversary or other occasion meant a card and gift and the grandkids soon learned that a hug for grandma great resulted in a small package of smarties. She lived a full life in keeping with her name.
A private funeral is planned.
Arrangements entrusted to Connelly-McKinley Edmonton South.
