Obituary of Gordon Elmer Procunier
Passed peacefully and quietly with his family by his side on March 7, 2025 at McNally House in Grimsby. Beloved husband, soulmate and best friend of Sylvia (predeceased). Loving father of Cathy (Bill) Hodge of Beamsville and David (Karin) Procunier of Millgrove. Will be sadly missed by grandchildren Steven Hodge, Robyn Hodge, Chantelle Procunier and Claire Procunier. Predeceased by parents Elmer and Eva Procunier and brothers Blake and Russell Procunier. Survived by sisters-in-law Audrey Procunier of London, Shirley MacMartin of South Carolina and Sheila (Jeff) Little of Dundas.
Gord was a longtime member of Stoney Creek United Church and Stoney Creek Men’s Club. Recently, he enjoyed attending Centennial Park Baptist Church in Grimsby. Past Master of Belmont Lodge A.F. & A.M. No. 190 and Hugh Murray Lodge A.F. & A.M. No. 602. Gord was also a member of Rameses Shrine Temple, Toronto and the Shriners Club of Hamilton. A special thank you to the staff at McNally House for their exceptional and compassionate care of Gord. Gord was a very kind and loving husband, father and grandfather who always made his family his number one priority. We all miss him.
In accordance with Gord’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation has taken place. If desired, donations to McNally House in Grimsby would be appreciated by the family.
