Gordon Wayne
“Gord” Bezanson, 77, of Kentville, son of the late
Gordon Elijah and Edith Blanche “Edie” (Congdon)
Bezanson passed away on Thursday evening, March 6, 2025 at the QEII
Hospital – V.G. Site in Halifax. His sister, Freda,
brothers, Frank and Ron, and family friend, John Bresnan
were able to be with him.
Gord grew up in
Highbury, Kings County, later moving to Kentville where he had a small
circle of friends, which he enjoyed spending time with.
He is survived by a
son, Brian and daughters, April Bezanson and Audrey Jacquard, and
predeceased by their mother, Jacqueline “Jackie”
England. He is survived by daughter, Christine and son, Gordon, and
predeceased by their mother, Joan Elizabeth Taylor. In addition to his
children, he is survived by sister, Freda P. Bezanson; brothers, Frank
(Nancy) Bezanson, Ron (JoAnne) Bezanson and Fred Bezanson; and his
grandchildren, Tyler, Kayla, Gordie and Gavin Aubrey and Memphis
Bezanson, Bentley and Cheyanna Deveau; and many nieces and
nephews.
In addition to his
parents, partner, Jackie England and wife, Joan Taylor, he was
predeceased by his son, Wayne Gordon Bezanson, daughter, Mary Anne
Bezanson; and brother, Eugene Kempton (Margie)
Bezanson.
Cremation has taken
place and there will be no visitation, by request. A graveside service
will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 28, 2025 in the Berwick
Cemetery. Anyone wishing to attend in remembrance of Gord is welcome.
Donations in memory may be made to Valley Connect Outreach. Funeral
arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and
