C’est avec une grande tristesse que la famille annonce son décès le lundi 14 juillet 2025 à l’Hôpital de Timmins et du district à l’âge de 78 ans.
Époux bien-aimé de Lisa Veilleux (née Dumoulin). Père aimant de Viviane Fauvelle (Lionel), Nathalie Godin (Stéphane) et feu Stéphane Veilleux. Beau-père d’Irène Pelletier, Jeannine Pelletier, Suzanne Pelletier (Don) et Tammy Brazeau (Kevin). Cher grand-père de Jessie Fauvelle (Denis), Jenna Doucet (Carey), Justin Rodrigue, Mélissa Bélanger, Mathieu Bélanger, Stéphanie Veilleux (Zachary) et Caleb Veilleux.
Il manquera énormément à de nombreux beaux-petits-enfants, arrière-petits-enfants, beaux-arrière-petits-enfants, ainsi qu’à plusieurs nièces et neveux.
Il laisse également dans le deuil ses sœurs Rose West (John), Aline Narbonne, Thérèse Henry (Conrad), Pauline Froment (Fernand), et son frère Gilles Veilleux (Paula)
Godfroy fût prédécédé par ses parents Paul et Thérèse Veilleux.
Il était un véritable passionné de musique, toujours une guitare à la main, prêt à une mélodie ou un accord. Sa musique résonnera toujours dans nos cœurs.
Homme de la forêt, Godfroy a forgé sa vie au sein de l’industrie du bois, travaillant avec passion et expertise

It is with great sadness that the family announces his passing on Monday, July 14, 2025, at the Timmins and District Hospital at the age of 78.
Beloved husband of Lisa Veilleux (nee Dumoulin). Loving father to Viviane Fauvelle (Lionel), Nathalie Godin (Stéphane), and late Stéphane Veilleux. Stepfather to Irène Pelletier, Jeannine Pelletier, Suzanne Pelletier (Don) and Tammy Brazeau (Kevin). Cherished grandfather to Jessie Fauvelle (Denis), Jenna Doucet (Carey), Justin Rodrigue, Mélissa Bélanger, Mathieu Bélanger Stéphanie Veilleux (Zachary) and Caleb Veilleux.
He will be greatly missed by numerous step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He also leaves to mourn his siblings, Rose West (John), Aline Narbonne, Thérèse Henry (Conrad), Gilles Veilleux (Paula) and Pauline Froment (Fernand).
Godfroy was predeceased by his parents Paul and Thérèse Veilleux.
He was a true music enthusiast, always with a guitar in hand, ready to share a melody or a chord. His music will always resonate in our hearts.
A man of the forest, Godfroy forged his life within the lumber industry, working with passion and expertise.
