1955-2025
It is with great sadness that the family of Gloria Jean Sappier of
Tobique First Nation, NB, announce her passing at the Upper River
Valley Hospital on Wednesday, February 19, 2025.
Gloria was born at Tobique First Nation, NB, on December 22, 1955. She
was the daughter of the late Raymond and Doris (Sappier) Tremblay.
Gloria leaves behind her loving husband, Norval Sappier; her
daughters, Trisha Sappier (Wade McFarlane) and Rosha Sappier, both of
Tobique First Nation, NB; her grandchildren, Matthew Nicholas (Emma),
Noah Nicholas (Keisha), Bailey Johnson, and Julia Saulis; her great
granddaughter, Myla Nicholas; her sisters, Margaret Grant (Gary) of
Perth-Andover, NB, Charlotte Clark of Tobique First Nation, NB,
Roseanne Clark (Brian) of Fredericton, NB, and Judy Perley (Kenneth
“Scrapy”) of Tobique First Nation, NB; her brothers, Allan
Tremblay of Tobique First Nation, NB, Glenn Tremblay (Sandra) of
Fredericton, NB, Warren Tremblay (Joyce) of Perth-Andover, NB, Howard
Tremblay (Ginette) of Drummond, NB, and Ronald Tremblay (Joan) of
Fredericton, NB; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Respecting Gloria’s wishes, there will be a private visitation and
funeral service held. However, everyone is invited to a feast which
will be held at the Paul Pyres Community Hall at 4 pm on Saturday,
February 22, 2025. Interment will be in St. Ann’s Catholic Cemetery,
Tobique First Nation, NB, at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Tobique First Nation Food Bank
would be appreciated by the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home,
Perth-Andover, NB.
