It is with shattered hearts and loving memories that we announce the passing of Gloria Bernice Locke on February 24, 2025.
Predeceased by parents Pearl and John Reid, sisters Darlene Reid and Syreathia French, mother and father-in-law Dorothy and Kenneth Locke; brother-in- laws Robert French, Ron and Garson Locke, and Peter McKenna.
She leaves behind endless memories for her husband of 57 years, Renea Locke; sons Paul (Nancy), Stephen (Patricia), David (Frances); grandchildren Ryan (Janice), Holly (Matthew), Stephanie (Mitchell), Nicole (Stephen), and Sophie; great grandson Ben; brothers and sisters Wallace (Maxine), Wayne (Florence), Maurice (Norma), Mary (Byron), Gaylia, John (Qing), Wilfred (Lynette), Colleen (Dwight); sister-in-law Viola McKenna; special lifelong friends Rosalind, Lillian, Pearl, Doreen, Jean, Violet and Shirley; as well as numerous nephews and nieces.
To celebrate Gloria’s life, visit Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Thursday February 27, 2025 from 2pm-4pm and 7-9pm. Celebration of life service will be held from Barrett’s Chapel on Friday February 28, 2025 at 10am, and a private internment will follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Blackmarsh Road.
For those unable to attend, the service will be livestreamed and the link can be found here and on the main page of the Barrett’s website.
Donations in Gloria’s memory can be made to the Cancer Care Foundation or Daffodil Place.
Her motto to live by was “love family, love God, love life.”
