It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Glen Silverthorn, of Simcoe and Brant County, at the Brantford General Hospital on Thursday, July 24, 2025 in his 89th year. Beloved Husband of the late Nola (nee Morris-2021). Loving Dad of Grant (Rebecca) Silverthorn and Marla Silverthorn (Gary Saska). Cherished Papa of Kane and Ella. Glen will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Glen had a lifelong passion and love of music. He was respected music teacher within the Grand Erie Elementary School system and the Brantford School of Instrumental Music. Glen was also a former member of both the Memorial Concert Band and the George Rose Big Band. His talent will be sorely missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the Keith Ovington Funeral Home, 134 King Street Burford. As expressions of sympathy, donations in Glen’s memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation. Keith Ovington 519-449-1112 www.keithovington.ca
