Glen John Allan Obituary
It is with sadness that our family shares the passing of our father, Glen John Allan, husband of Anne (nee Ames) who left us on February 20th, 2025 at the age of 87. Glen’s early passion for skiing, tennis, squash, and sailing was passed on to both his son and daughter and his love of fishing was a huge source of enjoyment in his retirement. Glen spent decades in the Hamilton Wentworth Board as both an elementary and secondary teacher.
Born in January 1938, Glen is predeceased by his parents, John Roger Allan and Jean (Carnegie), and his younger sister, Sylvia (Sue) Potter. He is survived by his son, Gregory (Julie), daughter Leah (Andy), grandchildren Nicole (Rhydian), Alexandra (Ryan), Adrianna, and James (Ana), and great grandchildren, Isla, Poet, Charlotte, Saoirse, and Walker. Special thanks to the staff at Hampton Terrace (Burlington) for their care over the last 18 months.
