It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Gladys Simone Beaul on January 15th, 2025, at Cheltenham Community Home, with Ken by her side. Gladys was 83 years old.
Predeceased by her devoted partner of over 40 years, Peter Lonergan, Gladys is also reunited with her cherished siblings, sister Yvonne, and brother Henry. She will forever be remembered as a devoted mother to her three sons, Keith, Kevin, and Ken, and a loving mother-in-law to Yvonne, and Roberta, who brought immense pride and joy to her life.
Gladys was a beloved aunt to Cheri (Bruce), Wayne, Paul, and Joanne, and a doting grandmother to Kristina “with a K” (Jeremy). She took great delight in her role as a great-grandmother to Kyla and Anthony, whose lives were brightened by her love and wisdom.
A woman of warmth, resilience, and compassion, Gladys’s kindness touched the lives of all who knew her. She played a significant role in bringing the Lonergan and Beaul families together. She was a dear friend to many on Perry Island, where her presence brought joy and connection to the community. Her legacy of love and dedication to family will continue to inspire and guide those she leaves behind.
The family will be holding a Celebration of Life at a later date to celebrate Gladys’s life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to a charity of your choice. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
