Obituary of Giuseppe Pedalino
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Joe at the Sault Area Hospital on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at the age of 67. Devoted husband and best friend of Donna for 46 years. Loved father of Matt Pedalino (Trisha), and Amanda Pickett (Greg). Adored Papa of Xander and Beth Pedalino, and Quinn Pickett. Predeceased by his dear mother Domenica and father Damiano. Cherished brother of Ida Palumbo (Pino), and Mike Pedalino (Nancy). Brother-in-law of Angie Trinder (Colin), and Mary Canale (Calvin Grexton). Joe will be missed by his nieces, nephews, extended family, and many wonderful friends – especially Dan Miller, and his many billiard buddies.
Joe was born in Tarsia, Italy and immigrated to Elliot Lake before moving to Sault Ste. Marie in his early teens. He discovered a love of photography at a young age which he turned into a successful career and life-long hobby. Joe was in his element in the outdoors whether it was hunting, fishing, or camping – passions that he passed on to his children.
Friends and family are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road, 705-945-7758) on Thursday, January 23, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral service in the chapel at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Helen Smith officiating. The family has requested no flowers be sent. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you to the first responders, doctors, nurses, and SAH emergency staff. The family would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Shawna Reid.
