Giovanni “John” Liut
Passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, at Milton District Hospital on Friday March 21, 2025 at the age of 93. He was a loving and dedicated husband, father, Nonno and Bisnonno. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 62 years, Caterina; his daughter Marialuisa (Steve); son-in-law Gabriele (Paola); grandchildren Monica (Evan), Stefan (Alana) and Matteo; and his great-grandchildren Koen and Tanner. He is also survived by his sister Luciana and sister-in-law Graziella as well as many nieces and nephews.
John had an incredible talent for gardening and working with his hands. Many Miltonians knew John and Caterina from their daily walks through town.
The family will receive visitors at McKersie & Early Funeral Home, 114 Main St. E., Milton (905) 878-4452 on Tuesday March 25, 2025 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday March 26, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. from Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 139 Martin St., Milton. Interment to follow at Milton Evergreen Cemetery, 230 Ontario St. S., Milton.
If desired, memorial donations to Holy Rosary Church or to the Milton District Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
