Passed away peacefully, in Hamilton on Monday, January 13, 2025, the age of 80 years. Predeceased by parents Giuseppe and Luigia Alesi and his wife Agnes. Gino found love again with Anna Alaimo for 16 years. Loving father to Sophia Van der Griend (Keenan). Proud Nonno of 7 grandchildren. Dear brother of the late Luciano, Quinto (Denise), the late Angela Settimi (late Francesco). Dear Zio and Uncle “G” to Devon, Jake, Joe and Gabe. Gino will be fondly remembered by Connie Alaimo (John Amfilochiadis), Sam Alaimo (Eva), Al Alaimo (Rosa Morreale) and many relatives and friends in Italy, France, Canada and the U.S. Gino retired from Dofasco after 29 years of dedicated service and many years as a Master Plasterman. He pursued his passion for hunting, fishing, tending to his beautiful garden, and spending time with his family and friends. Special thank you to the dedicated staff at St. Peter’s Hospital for their care and compassion.
Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 454 Highway #8 (east of Millen Road) STONEY CREEK (905-664-4222) on Sunday, January19, 2025 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of The Assumption Roman Catholic Church, 63 Highway 20 East, Stoney Creek on Monday, January 20, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Burlington.
