DIXON, Gillian “Jill” May (Baker)–
Passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 15, 2025, at Meadows of Dorchester at the age of 87. Beloved wife of the late James Dixon (2000). Predeceased by her son Robert Dixon (2024). Devoted mother of Gary (Bonnie), Pete, Mark and Kelly (Kris). Adored grandmother of James (Anna), Kate, Carly (Dylan), Marissa, Jeremy, Mitchell (Courtney) and Brittany. Great-Grandmother to Layne, Robert, Cash and Bailey.
Gillian was born in England and moved to Canada in 1961. Jill and Jim raised their family of 5 in Niagara Falls. Jill was a loving mum, grandmother and a loyal friend. She played euchre and cribbage at the Legion as well as with friends & family. She also enjoyed sitting outside in her backyard with a cup of tea with family, friends and beloved dogs. We would like to thank all the staff at Meadows of Dorchester for all the care and compassion they showed Gillian over the years.
The family will receive friends at Morse & Son Funeral Home, 5917 Main St., Niagara Falls, on Thursday February 20, 2025, between 6-8pm, and Friday February 21, 2025, between noon – 1pm, with a service to celebrate Jill’s life to begin at 1pm. A private family interment at Lundy’s Lane Cemetery to follow.
In lieu of a donation please take a loved one out for a meal. Memories, photos and condolences may be shared at www.morseandson.com.
