It is with broken hearts that we announce the death of Gerry surrounded by the love of his family at the Queensway Carleton Hospital after a brief illness.
He will be forever missed and loved by his wife Linda (Irvine) and his children Alyssa Hunt (Dylan) and Bryan (Carmel). His grandsons Calvin, Lennox and Lando were his pride and joy.
Gerry is also lovingly remembered by his sister Jean Irvine (John), brother Peter (Bonnie), sister-in-law Lori Cooper (Gary) and their children Lauren, Chelsea, Kyle and Conor.
Gerry was predeceased by his parents Ken and Hope (Tubman) Moore and stepmother Norma Moore. He is fondly remembered by Norma’s children Terrie White (Donald), Jamie Edwards (Lori) and Drew.
Gerry was a firefighter with the City of Nepean /Ottawa proudly serving for 34 years. He was a lifelong Richmond resident serving our community for 46 years as a member of the Richmond & District Lions club and a longtime member of the Richmond Curling club and was currently on the Board of Directors.
Gerry’s legacy is his deep love for his family and service to his community. He will live in our hearts forever.
Friends may attend a visitation at the Kars Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 1610 Roger Stevens Dr., Kars on Monday, February 24th from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. Memorial service will be held at St. Paul’s United Church, 3452 McBean St, Richmond on Tuesday, February 25th at 11 am.
Those wishing may make memorial donations to C.H.E.O; Queensway Carleton Hospital or St. Paul’s United Church.
