SAINT-LOUIS-DE-KENT, NB – It is with great sadness
that the family announces the passing of Gérard
“Gerry” Robichaud, who passed away peacefully at the Stella
Maris Hospital in Ste. Anne-de-Kent on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at
the age of 80. Born in Aldouane, NB, on March 28, 1944, he was the son
of the late Émile Robichaud and the late Aline (Daigle)
Robichaud).
Gerry will be sadly missed by his loving partner, Rose
Vautour; step-daughters, Carrol Purdy and Judy Hartin; his step-son,
Normand Vautour (Fernande) of Rogersville; as well as by many special
nieces and nephews.
He is also survived by two sisters, Lucianne MacDonald (late
Keith) of St. Louis and Anne Robichaud (Jean-Paul) of St. Pierre; two
brothers, Louis Robichaud (Eva) of Limoge, QC and Norbert Robichaud
(Lucille) of Aldouane.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife,
Rena Robichaud; three brothers, Grégoire (Bibianne),
Léonard (Huberte), and Linus (Helen).
Visitation will begin on Monday, January 20, 2025, from 8:30
AM until the time of the Funeral. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at
10:30 AM at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Richibucto.
The family wishes to thank the staff at the Stella Maris
Hospital and Foyer Bois Joli for the exceptional care
they’ve provided for Gerry during his stay.
In memory of Gerry, donations may be made to the Richibucto
Food Bank and would be greatly appreciated.
