Gerald Landriault Obituary
The family announce with great sorrow the passing of Gerald Rolland Landriault March 24, 2025 at the young age of 92.
Gerry was born in Sudbury, Ontario May 6, 1932 to Romeo Landriault and Eva Portelance and grew up in the Sudbury, Markstay area. He worked a couple of years in the mines in Sudbury and decided mining wasn’t for him and moved to Toronto in 1961 where he went on to work for Canada Packers until his retirement.
Gerry was predeceased by his parents, his brother Hector, sister Rita and his first wife Francis.
He is survived by his wife Rosemary of Goderich children Raymond of Elliott Lake, Brenda (Jesse) of Sudbury; his brothers Leo (Linda) of Orangeville, Richard (Maureen) of Ottawa and David of Orangeville; sister Lorraine Thompson (Mike) of Pembroke; stepchildren Sheila (Ian) and Brian. He had 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
Visitation for friends and family will take place at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Thursday, March 27, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 96 Huron Street, Stratford on Friday, March 28, at 11 a.m. Interment at Avondale Cemetery followed by a reception in the Parish Hall. Memorial donations in Gerry’s memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice. www.wgyoungfuneralhome.com
