Gerald Joseph LeBlanc
July 28, 1949 -February 7, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Gerald Joseph LeBlanc on February 7, 2025, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Gerald lived a full and meaningful life, leaving behind a legacy of love, hard work, and devotion to his family. Born on July 28, 1949, in Saint John, he was the son of the late Thomas and Theresa LeBlanc.
Gerald was a welder by trade and a handyman by passion. His skills and craftsmanship led him to a 35-year career at Strescon, where he was respected for his dedication and expertise. Never to sit idle, he could build or fix just about anything, always taking pride in his work. One of his proudest accomplishments was building the family cottage, a place where countless cherished memories were made over the years. Above all, Gerald’s greatest love was his family. He was a devoted husband to Debra (Swain) LeBlanc, his beloved wife of 53 years. A loving father to
Cindy (Peter) and Mark (Jan), he was always present for every milestone, big or small. Nothing brought him more joy than being “Grampy” to his six cherished grandchildren: Regan, Kate, Alison, Connor, Lauren, and Brendan. He adored them and took pride in making lasting memories with each of them.
Gerald’s faith, kindness, quiet strength and unwavering support will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His legacy of love and dedication will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Debra; his daughter, Cindy (Peter) Thorn; his son Mark (Jan) LeBlanc; and his six cherished grandchildren: Regan LeBlanc, Kate LeBlanc, Alison LeBlanc, Connor LeBlanc, Lauren Thorn, and Brendan Thorn. (Felix) Bennett, Helen Frigault, Bertha (Ron) Richard, Maryann (Greg) Brown, his Brother- in-laws, John (Karen) Swain; Tom (Dianne) Swain; Gary (Diane) Swain; Sean Swain and his Sister-in-law Susan Miner, as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends.
