It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of our devoted father, and Papa on Thursday, January 2nd, 2025 at the age of 84. Loving father of Teri (Jim). Adored papa of Devin (Tracy), Jarrod (Victoria), Shawn, Dayna (Josh), Tyler. Predeceased by spouse Theresa (2022). Cherished step-father of Amanda (Richard), and step-grandfather of Jay, Madison, and Sydney. Also survived by loving siblings Larry (Margaret), Doug (Joanne), Don (Linda), and Gary (Kathy).
Predeceased by his beloved parents George Beach (1958), and Pearl May Bacon (1954), siblings Gord (June), Joan, Eileen, and Loraine (Robert).
Jerry was a dedicated sheet metal worker for RS Craig Plumbing and Heating, up until his sickness wouldn’t allow him. He was convinced he would never retire, as he was so passionate about his work. If he wasn’t working, he was talking about work.
If you were looking for him, you’d always find him in his wood shop where he did all of his thinking and creating new conversation pieces for family, tinkering around with tools, out in his driveway admiring his 1966 Mustang, which he devoted so much time into fixing, or working in his yard with his Grandsons.
He was a jack of all trades, if something needed fixing, he was determined to fix it his way, or no way. He was stubborn, witty, devoted, and so loved by everyone who came in contact with him. Conversations always started with “how’s it go?” “How you do?” Or “what’s up?” with his perfect smile, followed by his famous wink which we will cherish forever.
He will also be missed by his fur grand babies Kia, Eddie, and Kiki.
A special thanks to Erie Shores Healthcare staff and nurses for their exceptional care during his multiple stays, and treating him like their own “papa”. As well as , Windsor Regional Hospital Ouellette Campus- 2 North, Doctors and Nurses for proving comfort, and peace during his last days with his family who never left his side.
If you so desired, donations in Jerry’s memory may be made to Asthma Canada.
Memorial visitation will be held at Families First South Windsor (3260 Dougall Ave) 519-969-5841 on Thursday, January 9th, 2025 from 4-7pm, with the Memorial Service to be held at 7pm.
