Gerald Hugh “Hughie” Arnold – 84, Truro, passed
away peacefully on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Cedarstone Enhanced
Care, Truro. Born in Upper Musquodoboit Valley, he was a son of the
late Morris and Ann (Chaplin) Arnold.
Hughie is survived by his brother, Elroy Arnold, Dartmouth;
several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he was predeceased
by his sisters, Sylvia Brougham, Mary Hattie; brothers, Cyril Arnold,
Bernard Arnold.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall – Varner
Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where the funeral service will
be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, February 19, 2025, Reverend April Hart
officiating. Spring interment in Glen Bard Cemetery, James River,
Antigonish County. If so desired, donations in Hughie’s memory to Glen
Bard Cemetery are welcomed.
