It is with sadness the family of Gerald Alphonsus Peters, announce his passing which occurred peacefully and surrounded by love at the Souris Hospital, on Saturday, March 8, 2025. Born on November 9, 1949, he was aged 75 years of St. Charles, PEI.
He will be forever loved and missed by his wife Linda (nee Gallant) and remembered as a caring father to Jason (Pam) and Corey (Tammy). Gerald was a loving grandfather to Rylen, Brandon, and Bailee, and survived by his sister Imelda.
In addition, he is survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law, Sharon (Bill), Beverly (Jim), Sandra (Danny), Jerry, Roger, Phillip, Peter, Cindy, Warren, Marita, Theresa, and Marie, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Predeceased by his parents Alphonsus and Monica Peters, sisters Gloria and Sherron, also sister-in-law Dianne, brothers-in-law Leonard and Johnny, and daughter-in-law Natalie.
Gerald loved gardening, walking in the woods, and many other outdoor activities. But most of all, he loved spending time with his family. The family would like to thank the staff of the Souris Hospital for the excellent care and support Gerald received. Also, a special thank you goes to Dr. Berrow, who was a great source of comfort to Gerald.
By personal request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A graveside committal service will take place at a later date in the St. Charles Roman Catholic Church Cemetery, St. Charles. If so desired, donations in memory of Gerald can be made to the St. Charles Cemetery Fund.
