SMITH, Georgina (nee Weir)
June 13, 1945 – March 23, 2025
Peacefully with family by her side Georgina has gone home to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Beloved and devoted wife of 58 years to Leslie Smith. Cherished mother of Bradley (Carey) and David (Stephanie). Proud and doting Grandma (and their biggest hockey fan) to Brett (Maddy), Brooke Campbell (Ryan), Trent and Lance. Georgina was recently blessed with her first great granddaughter Sadie Campbell. Loving sister of Rachel Seabrook (late Ronald), late Merle Coulter (late Gene) and Effie Vine (late Jerry). Treasured sister-in-law of the late Elaine Ferguson (Bill), Janice Dool (Don), Sheila Pigoni (Perry), Cheryl Worthing and Heather Bird (Dave). A one-of-a-kind aunt to many nieces and nephews. Fondly remembered by her Church of Christ family.
Georgina was the matriarch of our family. She was an excellent baker who was most known for her homemade butter tarts and extravagant birthday cakes. Her sewing room was open to all, and she could mend any article of clothing for anyone who was fortunate enough to know her.
Georgina will be missed at the local hockey rinks and ballfields.
We will forever miss her quick wit and humour.
The family wishes to thank the Algoma Manor, especially the PSW’s of Pine Wing, for their love and support throughout her stay. Our hearts are overwhelmed with gratitude to Heather Bird for her unwavering dedication and support.

Family and friends are invited to visit at Thessalon Church of Christ, 8 Albert Street, Thessalon on Saturday, March 29, 2025, beginning at 11am until time of service at 1pm. Chris Wright officiating. Light luncheon in the church basement following service.
