Obituary of George Schmidt
Peacefully, on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at his home in Blackstock, at age 90. George Schmidt, beloved husband of the late Terezija (nee Penic). Loved father of Rosemarie and Kristina (Brian Krol). Loving grandfather of Amy, Natalie, Olivia, Owen, Maxine, Andrew, and Kevin and great grandfather of Isla and MacArthur. Predeceased by his parents Mathias and Rosina Schmidt. Dear brother of Heinrich (Gitta), Stefan (late Leni) and Josef (Irmi).
The family of George Schmidt will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Monday, January 20th from 10 – 11 a.m. followed by a Prayer Service in the Chapel at 11 a.m. Interment Cartwright Union Cemetery, Blackstock. If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Danube Canadian Benevolent Society. Memories, photos and condolences may be shared at www.waggfuneralhome.com
