George passed away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in Burin, NL on February 4, 2025 at the age of 70. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are his wife of 51 years; Hazel Prior; Children; Chris Prior of Grand Bank, Calvin Prior (Sandi) of Duchess, AB; grandson, Owen Prior (Abby) of Medicine Hat, AB; brother, Charlie Prior (Melvina); Uncle, Calvin Foote; nephews; Leo Crews (Jennifer), Leo Felix (Lea), niece, Paula Crews (Berkley); sisters-in-law, Marion Bungay (Harold), Phyllis Kivi (Les), Joan Turk (Carl), Flossie Northcott (Calvin), Daisy Brenton (Rick), Millicent Matthews (Dave), Sandra Matthews, Cathy Puncari; brothers-in-law, Walt Matthews (Dinah), Cal Matthews (Anne), Melv Matthews (Cora); Special Friend, Paul Barter and Special Little Friend, Makena in Alberta, plus a large circle of extended family and friends.
George was predeceased by parents, Leo & Mary Prior; parents-in-law, Walter & Selina Matthews; sister, Linda Felix (Ray), Emily Crews (Aubrey); sister-in-law, Fronnie Ralph (Art); brother-in-law, Gil Matthews (Joan).
