Gerie Noordam, in her 83rd year, of Stratford, Ontario passed away unexpectedly at her home on Friday, February 21, 2025.
Beloved Mom to Astrid van Eeden Petersman, Marleen & Greg Lougheed, Jenny & Willem van den Hoven, and Inge & Henry Koskamp. Beloved Oma to Jonathan, Esther, Evan, Jack, Eric, Jody, Evon & Kyle, Anna & Eric, Leah, Alex, Andrew & Josie, Jacqueline & Aaron, Theo, Philip, Darien and great Oma to Georgia, Sophia, Henk and Dorothy.
Fondly remembered by her siblings Jannie & Jaap Vis, Cors (2005) & Aafke Noordam, Arie Noordam & Jan Kok (1998) and her many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Born in Bleiswijk, the Netherlands, she immigrated to Ontario with her family in 1980. She lived a joy filled life that included faith, farming, friends, travel, and most of all her family. She loved the beauty of this country and it’s seasons and expressed it through her Fibre Art.
The first visitation takes place at the W.G Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 in the evening from 6-8 pm. The second visitation is at the Stratford Christian Reformed Church, 190 Athlone Crescent, Stratford on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 in the morning from 9:30 am until the start of the funeral service at 10:30 am. Live stream of the service will be available on the Stratford Christian Reformed Church website.
