SWACKHAMMER, Alan “Gary” – passed away at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Friday, April 11th, 2025 in his 81st year. Beloved husband of Karen Swackhammer (nee Kerby). Loving father of Robyn Myers (Len) of Alberta, children Tyler & Elisha; the late Brent Swackhammer and Trevor Swackhammer (Denise) of Brantford, son Matthew. Gary will be lovingly remembered by Karen’s son Blake Barnard (Debbie) of Sarnia, their children Ryan (Hannah) & Nicole (Lauren). Sadly missed by his brothers Warren Swackhammer (Karen) of Stoney Creek and Dennis Swackhammer (Susan) of Brantford. Forever remembered by Karen’s sister-in-law Sheri Kerby of Port Dover and by nieces, nephews & extended family. Gary was predeceased by Karen’s brother, the late Gary Kerby (2015). Gary retired as a Sargent from the Hamilton Police Service with more than 32 years of service. A private family interment of ashes will take at a later date.
