Gary Cook Obituary
It is with broken hearts and great sadness that the family announces the passing of Gary Dwayne Cook, which occurred on Thursday, January 16th, 2025. Born on March 10th, 1976, in Saint John, he is the son of Ronald “Red” and Lynn (Crowe) Cook. Gary was a Carpenter by trade as well as a jack of all trades and just a good ole country boy. He could fix anything. He enjoyed working on cars and bikes and going mudding. He was gifted musically and taught himself how to play the guitar and banjo. He especially loved dogs, even more than people. Gary will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Along with his parents, Gary is survived by his daughter Taylor Cook (Alex) of Saint John; brother Shaun Cook of Saint John; sister Crystal Cook of Saint John; special cousins Dumper & Heather; his dog Rosie; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Gary was predeceased by his paternal grandparents Ronald & Shirley Cook, maternal grandparents Ronald & Edna Crowe, aunt Cathy “Dee”, uncle Cookie and many cousins.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424) with visitation being held on Monday, January 20th from 4 to 8 p.m. A Memorial Service will take place in the Fundy chapel on Tuesday, January 21st at 2 p.m. followed by an interment at Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Donations in memory of Gary may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association or to the SPCA-Animal Rescue.
