It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Garnet Leonard Ackerson, a beloved family member who departed peacefully on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at the George Dumont Hospital , Moncton , NB. Born December 2, 1953 in Ripples, NB he was the son of the late Ernest and Evelyn (MacKay) Ackerson. Known for his unwavering love, kindness, and generosity, he embodied the sentiment that true love is unconditional.

His fierce love for his family inspired all who knew him, and he fought bravely until the end. His legacy will forever remain in the hearts of his loved ones.
The family will miss the cherished gatherings where they enjoyed each other’s company around the table, sharing laughter and love. While they grieve his loss, they find comfort in knowing that he is at peace, free from pain and worry.
His absence is deeply felt, but his memory will be cherished. The values of love, kindness, and resilience that he instilled will continue to guide them. Rest in peace, Grampy; you will be missed and remembered with love.
