Frank Browning
April 21, 1962 – March 1, 2025
With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Frank Browning, who left this world on March 1, 2025, at 8:47 p.m. He was a beloved husband, father, papa, and friend—a man whose heart was as big as his laugh and whose love knew no limits. He lived for his family, cherished his friends, and had a way of making everyone feel like they belonged.
Born on April 21, 1962, in Toronto , ON, Frank built a life filled with love, humor, and kindness. He often said that as long as he had his girls and his wife, he would be happy for all of his days. And that was the kind of man he was—one who found joy in the simple moments, who measured his wealth not in possessions but in the love of his family. His devotion to his wife, Tammy, was unwavering, and his children—Carol (Jeff), Tamara (Anthony), Karen (David), Abby, and his two chosen sons, Robert and Tyler (Alyssa)—were his greatest pride. As a papa to Nolan, Dominic, Izabella, and Melody, he found his greatest joy, his eyes lighting up at the mere mention of his grandchildren.
Frank never met a stranger—only friends he hadn’t gotten to know yet. No matter who you were, he welcomed you with open arms, a warm smile, and a joke that would leave you laughing. He had a rare gift: he could make anyone feel at home. His kindness, his wit, and his deep, unwavering love for his family and friends will be the legacy he leaves behind.
Frank was predeceased by his parents, Lorene and Gordon Browning, as well as his siblings, Brenda Browning, Debbie Gibson, and William (Billy) Browning. He is survived by many siblings, nieces, nephews, and dear friends, all of whom he loved fiercely.
Later in life, Frank found an unexpected but deeply cherished brother in Dave a.k.a Bubba. Though they didn’t grow up together, their bond was unbreakable, built on laughter, loyalty, and a shared understanding that family isn’t just about blood, but about the people who stand by you through it all.
If you knew Frank, you knew his love for Tim Hortons, his appreciation for a good joke, and his simple joys—like his favorite strawberry and banana milk, which brought him comfort in his final days. Even as he faced life’s hardest moments, his thoughts were never on himself but on his family. His final acts were of love—making sure his family would be okay, setting money aside for them, ensuring they would be cared for. That was Frank—selfless, loving, and always putting others first.
His presence was a gift, his love a blessing, and his laughter a melody that will echo in our hearts forever. Though he is no longer here, his spirit will live on in every joke told, every hug given, and every moment shared with family and friends.
A celebration of Frank’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the cancer society in his memory.
Rest easy, Frank. You were deeply loved, and you will be missed beyond words.
