Obituary of Frances Fairweather
Fairweather, Frances Elizabeth passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Extendicare Port Stanley on Thursday, January 2, 2025 in her 99th year. Beloved wife of the late David Fairweather(2018). Dear mother of Joanne of Vancouver, British Columbia, Mark(Karen) of St. Thomas, Libby of Turner Valley, Alberta, Michael(Lisa) of Port Stanley, Susanne of London and Christine(Ron) of Aylmer. She will be missed by a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her son David Jr. (2018), her sister Louise Maddock(Morley) and brother Rey Werden(Margaret). Born in Petrolia, Ontario on June 2, 1926, daughter of the late Emerson and Mary(Pauling) Werden. Frances graduated in 1948 from the Victoria School of Nursing. Through her career as a Registered Nurse she worked in London, Vancouver, Montreal, Port Stanley and St. Thomas. She was the President of UCW at Malahide United Church and was also the pianist. She was proud to be an Elder of the Port Bruce Sunday School. Frances loved literature and was a voracious reader. Frances enjoyed knitting and gifting it to family and those in need. The funeral service will be held at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Monday, January 6, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior. Interment, Dunboyne Cemetery.
