In Loving Memory of Frances Kobe
April 10, 1934 – March 14, 2025
With deep sorrow and heavy hearts, we share the passing of our beloved mother, Frances Kobe, who has embarked on her journey to Heaven.
She was the Matriarch of our family, a devoted wife to the late Joseph (d. 2023) and a cherished mother to Josi (Tony; Lorenzo d. 2007), Helen (Scott), Annie (Tim), Maida (Rob), and Lini (Doc). She was a loving grandmother to Rosie (Matt), Frances (Brandon), Katie (Louie), Natalie, Rachel, Kobe, Robbie, Jake, and Abigail (Chris), and a proud great-grandmother to Jordan, Brady, Josephine, Danny, Gracie, Annie, Rosie, Elliot, and Zachary.
Frances was our guiding light—strong, devoted, and full of grace. Her life was marked by resilience, overcoming countless challenges with unwavering strength.
Born into a difficult time, she defied the odds, surviving against expectations and outliving all seven of her siblings, just shy of her 91st birthday. Her journey was one of immense courage, including escaping Yugoslavia while pregnant with her eldest daughter, Josi, braving the Austrian mountains in search of freedom and a better life.
She was the foundation of our family, working tirelessly alongside our father, farming and raising five children with love and determination. Her greatest joy came from cooking, baking, and bringing happiness to those around her.
Frances’ strength and our father’s faith have been the pillars that guided us all. She took immense pride in her family, and we will forever cherish her love, wisdom, and the beautiful memories she gifted us.
We love you dearly, and you will always remain in our hearts and prayers.
Visitation will be held at Tallman Funeral Homes in Vineland (3277 King St.) on Thursday, March 20 from 5 – 8 pm. A prayer service will be held on Friday, March 21 at 12 noon in the Chapel of Tallman Funeral Homes with burial to follow at St John’s Cemetery in Jordan.
