Frances “Fran” Marilynn Gibbs Obituary
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Frances Marilynn Gibbs, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Fran passed away peacefully, leaving behind a lasting legacy of love, service, and kindness.
A dedicated educator, Fran spent her career as an elementary school teacher and music instructor. She shared her love for music by playing piano and organ at her church and sang in the choir. Fran was also deeply committed to volunteer work, always looking for ways to give back to her community.
Fran had a deep appreciation for quiet moments, as well as activities like reading, curling, and golf. She will be remembered for her warmth, her sense of humor, and her unwavering support for her family and friends.
Fran is lovingly remembered by her sons, Rick (Deb) Gibbs and Don (Sue) Gibbs; her grandchildren, Conrad (Lindsay), Danika (Gareth), Kassidy (Graeme), and Jenna; her great-grandchildren, Julian and Alden; as well as by her many friends and extended family.
Fran was predeceased by her loving husband Dwayne Gibbs; and her son, Brad Gibbs.
A celebration of her life will be held at the High River United Church, on March 1st at 1 P.M.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice, or to the Alzheimer’s Foundation, which was a cause close to Fran’s heart.
Fran will be greatly missed, but her kindness and the memories she created will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
