August 31, 1937 – February 12, 2025
Surrounded by her loving family, Florence went home to be with her Lord and Saviour on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at the age of 87 years.
Beloved wife of Eli Sittler for 62 years. Dear mother of Paul (Sarah) Sittler of Elmira, Darlene of Floradale, Carol and Elaine at home. Lovingly remembered by five special grandchildren Linda (Leon) Reist, Janice (Ray) Bowman, Brian Sittler, Cheryl (Marlin) Wideman, Colin (Karen) Sittler and 11 great-grandchildren. Survived by her siblings Beatrice Martin, Leighton (Florence) Martin, and Laverne (Lorna) Martin. Will be missed by many nieces, nephews and their families.
Predeceased by her parents Delton and Lizzie Martin, parents-in-law Alvin and Lovina Sittler, brothers-in-law Eldon Martin, Alvin Sittler, sisters-in-law Almeda (Amsey) Martin, and Seleda (Clifford) Martin.
The family would like to thank caregivers Rhonda Martin, Jane, Erin C., Jessica and the rest of the Bayshore and CarePartner teams for their care and compassion in mom’s sunset years.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025 from 5-8 p.m. and on Sunday, February, 16, 2025 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira. Private family service will take place in the funeral home chapel at 9 a.m. on Monday, February 17, 2025 then to North Woolwich Mennonite Meeting House for burial and public service.
