With sadness, we announce the passing of Filomeno on March 3, 2025 at the age of 87. Filomeno was a kind, generous, and hardworking man, who was full of love for his family. Reunited in heaven with his daughter Pina, he leaves behind his beloved wife of 62 years Gilda. Cherished father to Rose (Tom Greco) and proud nonno of Cassandra (Asante), Stefano (Ditona), and Amedeo. Nonno Sippo will continue to live on in his great-grandchildren Nico, Ella, and Chiara. Predeceased by his brothers Pino and Franco, Filomeno is survived by his sister Carmela.
Relatives and friends are welcome to Bernardo Funeral Home (2960 Dufferin St., south of Lawrence Ave. W.) for visitation on Friday, March 7, 2025 from 3-5 and 6-8 PM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Charles Borromeo Church (811 Lawrence Ave. W., at Dufferin St.) on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at 9:30 AM. A private entombment will follow at Glendale Memorial Gardens (1810 Albion Rd., at Highway 27).
In honor of Filomeno’s generous spirit, the family invites you to preform an act of kindness for someone in need. A small gesture of compassion can make a meaningful difference, just as Filomeno did throughout his life.
