Dear Family, near and far, it saddens us to relay the news that Fernando Herman Font passed into God’s embrace on Thursday May 15, 2025 at 12:45pm. He succumbed to respiratory complications after a long and valiant struggle with lung cancer. He remains in our hearts as he was in life: A faithful and loving husband to Amanda (née Biancuzzo), a loving and constant father to Lorena (Jason Bowers), Fernando (Yancy Avalos), Francisco (Leah Roopan) and Gerardo, a dynamic and doting “Abuelo” to Brooke, Katherine, Felicity, Nathaniel, Andrés, Calista and Maximus. He is survived by his dear brother and sister-in-law Jorge and Miranda, as well as dear sister-in-law Elena. Fernando will be fondly remembered by so many relatives and friends at home and abroad (Argentina) who recall his fun-loving and generous spirit. Fernando’s beautiful paintings and craftsmanship always enriched our hearts and our homes with caring and grace.
How can we express the deep and aching loss?
We can
“…Think of him as living
in the hearts of those he touched,
for nothing loved is ever lost
and he was loved so much…”
from: His Journey’s Just Begun, by Elle Brenneman
In lieu of flowers, the family would greatly appreciate a memorial contribution to the Centre Grey Health Services Foundation.
The family will receive friends at Fawcett Funeral Cremation Reception, 1 Highland Drive, Flesherton on Wednesday, May 21 at 2pm until the time of the funeral service, at 4pm. A light luncheon will follow. Online donations and condolences at www.fawcettfuneralhome.ca
