Russell, Eugene (Gene)
The family of Eugene (Gene) Russell is saddened to announce his passing on Monday, April 28th, 2025 at University Hospital in London ON.
Born and raised in Cornerbrook Newfoundland he was a lifetime truck driver. He loved the freedom of the open road that led to a passion for travelling the world with his partner whom he relished and found a soulmate connection.
Leaving to mourn the loss of Gene is his loving partner Tracy Campbell and her family; his three adoring children: Sam Russell (Kim), Kelli Russell (John Dixon) and Michael Russell (Lindsay); his cherished grandchildren: Cameron, Kobi, Keaton, Mackenzie, Matthew and Logan, Rory and Chloe.
Gene is survived by two siblings in Newfoundland and predeceased by both his mother, father and four of his siblings.
Gene will be missed by many, especially his fellow RV’ers, card players, family and friends.
Acknowledgement and honour are with his predeceased wife (Georgie) and her family.
A special thanks for the care and support he received in the last year as he battled Lewy Body Dementia.

As per Gene’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Gene’s ashes will be spread with family at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or your local senior cards groups in his honour.
