Obituary For Errol Allid Hartman
On February 15, 2025 Errol Allid Hartman passed away unexpectedly at the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital.
Errol was born on January 18, 1979 in Barrhead, Alberta. He moved to Grande Prairie when he was two. This past summer he ventured to Barrhead and was quite excited to visit his old stomping grounds.
Errol had a passion for hockey, he knew all the stats and would quiz his sister Denise. To know Errol was to know he was a Leaf’s fan through and through. He played minor hockey, street hockey and then coached his kids for 17 years. He loved coaching and had a knack for remembering the kids. When he wasn’t playing hockey he was golfing. He was able to get out and play a lot this past summer.
Errol was a journeyman parts person and he loved his job. He loved to problem solve and really enjoyed his interactions with his customers. His coworkers were his extended family who had to put up with his “dad” jokes of which there were plenty.
Music was a very big part of Errol’s life. He grew up listening to country music but as he aged his musical tastes broadened and he enjoyed all genres. The best nights were spent on the couch, with his love, listening to music.
Family meant everything to Errol. He is survived by his wife, Airren; children Colton Sandboe (son Findley), Sydney and Jaxson Hartman; Thomas, Riley, Conner and Josh Steidel; his sister, Denise Wilson (Mark) and niece and nephew Avery and Ethan. He is also survived by his parents, Ron and Colleen Hartman, who he was very close to and loved very much.
A Celebration of Life will take place at Bear Creek Funeral Home March 1, 2025 at 1:00 pm. Please bring your stories of Errol, there will be time to share them – Tailgate themed lunch to follow. (Go Birds!)
