Nous regrettons d’annoncer le décès d’Ernest Benoît, à l’âge de 96 ans, paisiblement, le jeudi 13 mars 2025, au foyer Rainycrest Long Term Care Home à Fort Frances. Il était amateur de la chasse et la pêche.
Ernest laisse dans le deuil ses enfants : Rolland de Kapuskasing, Pierrette Bélanger (Gilbert), Thérèse Pelletier (Larry Stewart) de Harty, Denise Andercheck (feu Jim) de Scarborough, Irène Roy (feu Philippe) de High Prairie, AB, Lise Vallée (Luc) de Timmins, Madelaine Janes (Gary) de Terre-Neuve, et Gilles (Jocelyne) de Timmins; ainsi que plusieurs petits-enfants et arrière-petits-enfants.
Ernest fut prédécédé par son épouse Jeanne D’Arc; ses parents, Joseph et Joséphine Benoît; six frères : Émile, Aimé, Arthur, Alcide, Noël et Maurice; ainsi que son gendre, Benoît Pelletier.
La célébration eucharistique aura lieu à une date ultérieure en l’église Immaculée-Conception, avec le Père Sébastien Groleau comme célébrant. La famille sera très reconnaissante de dons à la Fondation des maladies du cœur comme témoignages de sympathie. ©
We regret to announce the death of Ernest Benoît, at the age of 96 years, peacefully, on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Rainycrest Long Term Care Home in Fort Frances. Ernest enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Ernest is survived by his children: Rolland of Kapuskasing, Pierrette Bélanger (Gilbert), Thérèse Pelletier (Larry Stewart) of Harty, Denise Andercheck (late Jim) of Scarborough, Irène Roy (late Philippe) of High Prairie, Lise Vallée (Luc) of Timmins, Madelaine Janes (Gary) of Newfoundland and Gilles (Jocelyne) of Timmins; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Ernest was predeceased by his wife, Jeanne D’Arc: his parents, Joseph and Joséphine Benoît; six brothers: Émile, Aimé, Arthur, Alcide, Noël and Maurice, as well as a son-in-law: Benoît Pelletier.
The funeral service will be held at a later date at Immaculée-Conception church with Father Sébastien Groleau officiating. The family would greatly appreciate donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation as expressions of sympathy. ©
