The death of Erma Eleanor Rosborough took place peacefully at
the Dr Everett Chalmers Hospital in Fredericton on the morning of
Saturday March 1st, 2025.
Born in Minto in November 1928, she was the daughter of the
late Walter Robertson and Annie Robertson (nee Bustard) and was the
last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her
parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 59 years Allen
Rosborough, her sister Violet Kilfillen and brother in law Smithy
Kilfillen, her sister Thelma Egers (nee Robertson) and brother in law
William (Billy) Egers, an infant sister Eileen Robertson, special
cousin John Logue and his spouse Doreen Logue (nee Dobson), and
special friends Sonny and Donna Fletcher of Nasonworth,
NB.
Erma is survived by her nephews Darren Egers of Bathurst, NB,
Mark Egers (Paola Lombardi), and her great niece Adelynn Egers of
Ottawa, ON. Special cousins Vicky Logue-Fasquel (Glen), Debbie Wood
(Billy) and Stacey Doucette (Michael) all of Minto.
She is also survived by special friend Tanya Munn of
Nasonworth, NB, and the many friends that she made in her long career
at Wood Motors in Fredericton, as well as friends she met in her
retirement and other life friends.
Erma lived a simple but long and happy life. She was
independent minded her entire life. In her later years, she took much
pride in remaining in her home and living independently. Erma was
always happy to see visitors show up at her door, to have company, and
she looked forward to any little outing or adventure that anyone
wanted to take her on. A trip to the mall, Swiss Chalet, and the Blue
Canoe were her favourites, or a road trip to anyplace at
all.
Having moved to Fredericton from Minto around 1946 to begin a
job with Devon Lumber, she would travel back to Minto on weekends on
the Jitney train to spend time with her family but eventually became a
permanent resident of Fredericton. After marrying Allen in the
mid-1950s, they settled down and moved into their little house on
Northumberland Street. They loved their little house. At home Erma
most enjoyed sitting on the front porch to people watch, and to just
watch the world go by.
A visitation and funeral service will be planned for later in
the spring.
In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate a donation to
the charity of one’s choice.
