Obituary For Erick Robert Scott Matheson
April 6, 1979 – December 24, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we mournfully announce the passing of our beloved Erick.
Erick was the most spontaneous, outspoken and free-spirited man that walked our earth side for a humble 45 years. No matter where he walked and no matter who he spoke to, Erick was able to imprint the world with his enthusiasm and ambition of life. His greatest accomplishments in life came in the form of a beautiful little girl, Rhylee. Erick protected, loved and stood tall beside everyone in his life without hesitation.
Erick strived to be the best man he could be every day, his kindness and grace will forever be carried on and never forgotten. His fierce soul will continue to walk this life with us all, only in a new way.

Erick is survived by his mother Lorie, father John, daughter Rhylee, sister Morgan, grandmothers Dina and Shirley, Aunts and Uncles carried on both sides of the families and all loved and cherished cousins.
He was pre-deceased by his grandfathers John and David as well as his great aunt Mary-Anne.
A viewing will be held for Erick on Wednesday, January 8th from 1:00PM-3:00PM at Bear Creek Funeral Home (11802 99 Avenue in Grande Prairie, Alberta).
A celebration of Erick’s life will be held in the Spring/Summer of 2025, with details to follow.
