Emily Posein Obituary
Emily Irene Posein (Krause) went home to be with Jesus on March 1, 2025 at the age 77.
Emily was born on March 11, 1947 in Vancouver, BC to Mike and Alma (Fiedler) Krause. After graduating from John Oliver, she went on to study at Canadian Baptist Theological Seminary and College in Edmonton. She spent time working at Youth for Christ in Vancouver and at a car dealership in Princeton, BC as a secretary.
Emily met Darrell Richard Posein and fell in love. They wed on April 7, 1967 and bought a beautiful acreage in Princeton, BC that brought them much joy. Emily was a loyal servant to God who loved the church. Sharing the love of our Saviour, Jesus Christ, with as many people as possible was important to her. She was an active part of her church where she volunteered her time, including playing piano for many years.
Gifted and generous, Emily loved entertaining at her home. She was a creative and talented person, showcasing her artistic ability through music and painting. She was also an avid gardener and baker, making delicious special cakes for the people around her. Emily loved to sing, play games, and go for coffee with friends. Visits with her were filled with joyous laughter, even in the later part of her life.
Emily is survived by her brother, Timothy Krause (Laurinda), her niece, Angie Koop (Kyle), and her nephew, Samuel Krause (Kirby). She is also survived by her nephews, Ian Hilbrander (Rebecca), Clarence Posein (Nikki), and niece, Connie Hansen (Aaron). She was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell Posein, and her parents, Michael and Alma (Fiedler) Krause.
