LUCYK (nee Lesoway), Emilie
November 29, 1933 – May 8, 2025
With heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Emilie Lucyk at the age of 91. She will be remembered as being hard-working, loving, kind and respectful to all.
Emilie will be deeply missed by her daughters Gloria Radzick, Darlene (Byron) Swabb, son-in-law Dennis Flasha, cherished grandchildren Kevin (Kim) Flasha, Cindy Flasha, Tanis Coquet, Clayton Radzick, Noreen (Kris) Hurst, Desiree (Taylor) Brown, Ty (Melissa) Swabb along with her precious great-grandchildren Kayla, Cory, William, Chase, Emily, Tennesy, Walker and Josie.
Emilie was the youngest daughter of John and Annie Lesoway. She was predeceased by eight brothers and six sisters; husband Max; daughters Debbie Dziwenka and Janet Flasha; sons-in-law Jerry Choma, Leonard Dziwenka and Terry Radzick; grandsons Derek Swabb and Sheldon Radzick.
A Divine Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, May 14 at 10:00 a.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church – Mundare with the Basilian Fathers officiating. Interment to follow in the St. Demetro Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery – Hilliard Farms.
Memorial donations are appreciated and may be made to “Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation” or “Covenant Health Foundation c/o Mary Immaculate Health Care Centre – Mundare” where she received excellent care until her final day.
