MASSON, Elvira – passed away at the Renfrew Victoria Hospital, on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at the age of 81 years.
Elvira Florence Masson (nee Shields) of Pembroke, dear mother of Adam Masson of Calgary, Alberta. Cherished grandma to Liam Strong, Kerissa & Brody Masson all of Calgary, Alberta. Predeceased by parents Bradley & Freda Shields (nee Boyd) and by brother Barry Shields (Greta). Survived and missed by siblings Elaine Maves (late Daniel), Deep River; Ellwood Shields (Sonja), Lively; Donnalda Tubman (late Clifford), Carleton Place, Armelda Maves (late Art), Pembroke; Cathie Shields, Lake Dore; Colleen Edwards (Larry), Pembroke; Boyd Shields, Pembroke and Mervyn Shields, Pembroke. Missed by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Saturday, May 3, 2025 from 12:00 till 1:45 p.m., followed by a funeral service in the chapel at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow in Beachburg Union Cemetery. The service will be live streamed. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Ottawa Heart Institute or a Charity of your choice are appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, Pembroke.
